E3 AFA and protein
The brain is the most undernourished organ in the body. Although it comprises only 2% of the total body weight, it uses 20% of the body's available energy resources. Each of its estimated 10 billion neurons has an insatiable appetite which must be satisfied every minute of every day of our lives. AFA metabolizes molecular nitrogen directly from the air. This growth pattern allows for the bio-synthesis of Low Molecular Weight Peptide Groups. These low molecular weight peptides are the precursors of neurotransmitters, which are used by various regions of the brain and body to initiate the secretion of other substances (such as hormones) that influence metabolic functions.
Neurotransmitters can be seen as the chemical link whereby neurons communicate with one another. The ability of the brain neurons to manufacture and utilize neurotransmitters is dependent upon the concentration of amino acids in the bloodstream. This largely depends upon the food consumption of the previous meal.
All of the body's basic biochemical processes require energy to occur. It is from the ingestion of various food substances that the required amount of energy is obtained. The central part of the body's energy package that provides for the replication and repair of cells, organs and organ systems is protein. Next to water, protein is the most abundant substance in a healthy human body. It comprises a major portion of the blood and lymph and creates a natural immunity by giving the body a means of recognizing invading foreign cells and viruses.
Proteins are made up of amino acids, which are the building blocks of the body. Proteins comprise 90% of the hemoglobin and form the backbone of the body's immune system. The AFA algae contains more protein than any other organism (plant or animal). There are 22 amino acids; 8 of these are essential and must be obtained from our foods. Without proper quantities of all the amino acids, health cannot be maintained. When improper amounts of amino acids are consumed, the less important body tissues are "cannibalized" causing premature aging and possible severe deficiencies, such as lack of motivation, loss of memory, low mental alertness, poor intellectual performance and depression.
E3 AFA and the Natural Elements
E3 AFA uses four of the most basic elements in Nature (air, water, sunlight and minerals) to create a nutrient-rich food that passes on these benefits to the consumer.
Photosynthesis
When a crop of E3Live is growing ('blooming'), new organic matter is created through photosynthesis, which converts light energy into energy stored in chemical bonds within plant tissue.
Photosynthesis is the vital process through which both land-and-water-based plants and bacteria convert sunlight energy into nutritional energy.
This energy fuels a series of metabolic functions within the plant, with new compounds and structures being synthesized and developed over time. To do all this, the plant requires sunlight, carbon dioxide, water, and mineral nutrients. In conjunction with the act of photosynthesis, the plant/algae produces reduced carbon compounds and oxygen, along with new chemical compounds known as phytonutrients.

Phytonutrient
E3Live, with it's 'dominant' blue-green colour, is an important source of a wide variety of phytonutrients, including the carotenoid 'sub-group' (especially beta-carotene, a widely-studied antioxidant).
Phytonutrient simply means a “nutrient from a plant.” Phytonutrients are what gives fruits and vegetables their color, and are designed to protect the cells of the plant from excessive exposure to solar radiation and insect invasion.
Studies have shown that phytonutrients contain many chemical compounds and co-factors that act as excellent anti-oxidants, serving to block or slow the processes which may lead to many health issues. In other words, the original protective tasks to which they were assigned within their respective plant bodies translate into similar functions when assimilated by human beings.
When oxygen is metabolized for use in the human body, it creates unfriendly by-products called free radicals (environmental pollution, emotional stress, and even sunlight, are among the many other factors that can contribute to free radical production). Free radicals will react with neighboring molecules, causing damage and/or decay. 'Antioxidants' act as free radical scavengers, defusing free radical damage, and thus reducing wear and tear on your body.

Chlorophyll
E3Live AFA is one of the richest sources of chlorophyll of any edible plant species on Earth.
Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants that give most their color and enables them to carry on the process of photosynthesis. Chlorophyll, found in the chloroplasts of the plant cell, is the only substance in nature able to trap and store the energy of sunlight. Thus, chlorophyll molecules are referred to as 'photoreceptors'.
Chlorophyll is also classified as a phytonutrient, and is currently being studied for it's possible health benefits, including research into the green molecule's bacteriostatic (ie., inhibiting or retarding the growth of harmful bacteria) properties and how it may support the healthy functioning of the circulatory, digestive, reproductive, respiratory and immune systems.
